How to calculate a non-energy efficiency vehicle import fees
Calculation of the import fee of a vehicle that does not meet the energy efficiency requirements = (Target Fuel Economy – Actual Fuel Economy) divided by 10, and the result multiplied by the value of the vehicle.
Calculation of the import of a vehicle older than 5 years = 3.5 multiplied (vehicle age – 5) and the result multiplied by the value of the vehicle.
The calculation may seem a little complicated, but you can use the estimated calculator provided by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority to find out the financial compensation for importing vehicles that do not conform to energy efficiency or the age allowed for individuals, by entering the car model in years in addition to the current value of the car in addition to the type of car and the actual fuel economy – in km/liter, where you can find out the actual fuel economy through the car inquiry service from here.
